June

So I realize I'm way behind in posting but here are some pictures from our June adventures. Don't worry, these are not all of our June adventures, just some.

Well the month of June was a busy one. The first weekend we spent at my grandparent's cabin. The first weekend after Memorial Day, the property owners get together to fix fences, ditches, cut dead fall, and just whatever is in need that year. Chad got to help do something at the pump station. I know not what he did, not what a pump station is, and I don't really care so don't try to explain. :) While the men were working hard, the kids were playing harder. Lindsey, Asher and our family spent the night up at the cabin with Grandma and Grandpa. Kiley and Asher had so much fun running wild.
Asher learning a thing or two about billiards(aka: pool)

Kiley is dancing around the pool table to the player piano. She had so much fun dancing.

Kiley and Asher loved being on this chair. It spins around and they thought it was great. Amy wasn't quite so sure. They are such cute cousins!!

So after the men had finished helping with the community stuff, it was time to get to work on our own cabin. This was the year to clean the fireplaces. After the fireplaces were mostly done, the majority of us took off to eat lunch. Chad, my Dad and uncle Brad (we made sure it was only the "-ad's")stayed back to finish up.
I was standing in the food line with my mom, aunt Janet, Kiley, Amy and most important, my cousin Parker. Parker is 17 and will be a senior at Jordan High this next year. He is 6 foot something and super handsome! Anyway, while we were in line, the owner of the cabin asked me if he could hold Amy for me while I got some food. He figured I'd say no since I've never met him before, but was he surprised when I said yes. He is a grandpa, but all of his grandkids are getting older. His eyes sure lit up when he was holding her. We were talking for a minute and he was asking me questions about Amy. He then turned to Parker and said, "So you must be the baby's daddy!" It was hilarious, at least to the two of us. Parker quickly responded that he's only 17 and I responded that Parker is my cousin. It is now our new little joke. I love Parker. My mom babysat him when he was a newborn up until he went to school and I got to help. I still love that I got to be the first cousin to hold him. I'm almost 8 years older than him and he is probably a foot taller.

Well, after lunch, we decided to head back to the cabin to take the -ad's (Chad, Brad and my Dad) some food.  Little did we know what was going on inside as we pulled up. While cleaning the coal burning fireplaces, you can imagine we all got a little dirty. Brad had the bad end of the deal and was filthy. He took a shower while we were gone and got out of the shower to find out that he left his change of clothes at home. He was running around wearing Chad's basketball shorts and no shirt. He needed something to wear home and this is what searching through the closets came up with.

Chad pulled out the camera, so Brad started frolicking through the cabin. We thought it was hilarious and Brad had fun trying to embarrass Parker. They had to get back to Grandma's to mow the lawn. Parker, who doesn't always offer to help, offered to run car keys into my grandparents so Brad wouldn't, and offered to do the whole lawn by himself so Brad could just hang out in the car.

That weekend, we also had Amy's baby blessing in my parent's ward. It was better to do it there than in our ward since everyone but us and Chad's parents live up north. We didn't want to make too many people travel. It was nice to have most everyone together.

Asher

Brittany (she's going to have a baby girl in August)

Evan

Sally and Amy

Joslyn and Amy. Sorry it's sideways but again, the computer is a little crazy and I"m too lazy to fix it.

All of the Bishoff cousins...so far.

Grandma Bishoff and Chad's Aunt Julie.

John and Christine (She is due in July)
(At the time of this post, she had her baby last week!)

Mark, the oldest of the 4 cousins to be graduating in 2030.

Sweet Amy

2 months old!!

Scott and Kiley. Kiley loves all of her uncles but there is some bond that she and Scott have that I haven't been able to figure out yet.

2 months old, and a few days. But who's counting.

Kiley and Amy have matching dresses. Kiley loves to pick out her own clothes and sometimes helps to pick out Amy's, mine and Chad's. She is very helpful. This particular Sunday she would not get dressed unless Amy was wearing the same thing. She's such a goof! Amy is just over 2 months in this picture.

And last but not least, this is how we found Kiley sleeping one night. She is quite funny in the ways she sleeps, but she sleeps and that is all that really matters!!!

End of May

Kiley found a bucket at the park and used it to play in the dirt.

Chad had to work in Escalante. Since he was close to one of his favorite backpacking places, he decided to spend the night. He had a lot of fun and so did Daisy.

Chad took a cornish game hen and roasted it over the fire.

The finished product. He called me while he was cooking and burned the skin a little bit. Oops!

One of the fish Chad caught. He kept this and ate it. It ended up making him sick which made for a not so fun day for him.

Davin and Michelle came over one day to play in Kiley's pool. She was so excited to go swimming but I told her she had to wait for Davin to get here. She kept checking to see if he was here yet. It was pretty funny!

Lookin' cool

I let Kiley paint in the bath tub one day. She loved it.

We went to Moab over Memorial weekend. Sally thought she had put the candy out of Kiley's reach. It got really quiet and I told Chad to go find Kiley and that she was probably in the candy. He didn't think she could get it and this is where he found her with a few pieces of Chocolate in her mouth.

Chad and I took a drive up the river road in Ken's Miata. It was fun driving through the canyon with the top down. We drove to an overlook of Fisher Towers. (of course I don't actually have a picture of Fisher towers.)

On Saturday, we drove to Arches Natl. Park. We hiked to an arch in Windows and then we hiked to Sand Dune Arch so Kiley could play in the sand. The wind was blowing really hard and the sand stung really bad. We had fun anyway.

Kiley put her glasses on herself. That explains the crookedness.

This is Chad's cousin Dustin. We went to his homecoming on Sunday. He did a fabulous job. He just returned from South Korea!

On Memorial Day, we hiked up to our tree so we could add Amy to the tree. Chad and I started our tree in 2008. It has become a fun tradition to hike up every summer.

Kiley got to help carve her 12 into the tree.

Oops. Don't know why this is sideways but I'm to lazy to fix it.

On May 30, Chad was washing the car and watering the lawn and flowers when Kiley decided she needed to have a water fight. She kept getting sprayed and then spraying her dad. He was so good to wrestle with her in the water and to let her chase him with the hose. She had so much fun. I'm glad I wasn't in on it though. It was not the warmest evening for a water fight.

All smiles after getting soaked.

Chad and Amy were pretty worn out. Chad from the water fight and Amy because this is what she does best!
