I finally decided to start a blog. And after only 3 days of designing it and getting it just right (for now) I've decided to post something. I realize conference weekend was two weekends ago, but better late than never. It was a weekend full of fun and adventure. Preston and Sydney (Chad's brother and his wife) came down from Provo to visit and they stayed with us on Thursday night. Friday night, we had an awesome cookout in Three Peaks. Chad, Kiley and I left early and drove the Jeep the long way so we could gather wood. When we go on dirt roads we let Daisy run beside us the whole way. Since we can only go maybe 10 miles an hour, Chad decided to let Kiley drive. She wasn't so sure about it. She did, however, honk the horn and she had a better view out the window to watch Daisy run.
Getting Ready to Drive
Driving-Kiley's not so sure about this.
The cookout was lots of fun. One of the best parts was that Cody and Jordyn Arnoldson were in town from Vernal and so they were there too. It's a good thing because cookouts sure aren't the same without them! The kids had fun getting dirty and we had some fun talking about hippies. Someone, who shall not be named, referred to his parents as hippies with deodorant. We all got a good laugh out of that one.

On Saturday, we went down to Sand Hollow Res. in Hurricane. The weather was an amazing 86 degrees!! I can't wait for summer! Preston, Syd, Scott, Britt, Chad, Me and Kiley all went. Daisy had to stay home. Chad and I took Kiley out on her first raft trip. We paddled around while Chad fished. Kiley liked it at first and she especially liked when she got to paddle. After about ten minutes she had had it. We think it was because she couldn't crawl around in her life jacket. So we took her back to shore. This part, she was a big fan of. She loved playing in the dirt and with the rocks. She especially loved eating the dirt and rocks. I stayed busy trying to keep her from eating them. We spent the rest of the day watching Conference and just hanging out as a family. We're sure glad Preston and Syd came down to play with all of us!!
